Who is an Officer?Commissioned leadership within the JCCF
An Officer in the JCCF is a person who has been granted a Commission by the Governor General, under the Jamaica Combined Cadet Force Act, to hold and discharge authority within the Force.
Officers are primarily accountable for the welfare, discipline and efficiency of the Cadets they lead, and for ensuring they are safe and well trained.

An Adult Other Rank is appointed by the Commandant to exercise authority within the Force while upholding standards of discipline and leadership.

A Cadet is a student of high-school age enrolled in a government secondary institution who has completed Basic Recruits Training and is published in the JCCF Force Order with a Cadet Identification Number.
Cadets develop leadership, teamwork and life skills through structured training and assigned duties.
